Daytona 500 Gig Is Huge Success! 

So proud of our Blue Darter Band, Cheer, and Mascot crew! We had a blast on Saturday at Daytona Motor Speedway representing our community! The teaser video below and the pictures say it all! THANK YOU TO ALL THAT MADE THIS HAPPEN! #iegyb

Concert PRE-MPA is This Week! 

Join us on Thursday, February 23rd for our Concert PRE-MPA Performance by our Symphonic Band and Wind Symphony! Performances begin at 2:30 PM and will end by 4 PM. There will be a brief commentary period after each performance by a guest clinician. Students are to be FULLY DRESSED in their tux for this performance experience – JUST LIKE IT WAS MPA DAY! Parents, friends and family are all welcomed to attend! We know this is a early time, however, this decision is not made lightly as we want our full ensembles in attendance. With so many students in competing in games on Thursday evening, this allows the facilitation of both events for our members. Thank you for your understanding! #iegyb

SO PROUD OF OUR JAZZ AND S&E PERFORMERS! 

Had a great day on Friday of celebrating musical performance within the Blue Darter Band! Three of our four jazz bands, two percussion ensembles, our Wind Symphony Sax Choir and several soloists showcased their growth at our annual MPA event held this year at Horizon High! Pics and Videos will be uploaded soon for our large groups for your enjoyment!

  • 6th Period Blue Jazz Band: Overall Excellent Rating! (1-1-2!) WAY TO GO!!!
  • 6th Period White Jazz Band: Overall Superior Rating! (1-1-2!) WAY TO GO!!!
  • 7th Period Jazz Band: Straight Superior Rating! (1-1-1) WAY TO GO!!!
  • Wind Symphony Sax Choir: Superior! WAY TO GO!!!
  • Big Country Percussion Ensemble: Superior! WAY TO GO!!!
  • Ritmo Suave Percussion Ensemble: Superior! WAY TO GO!!!
  • Ashley Murphy Flute Solo: Superior!  WAY TO GO!!!
  • Ashley Murphy Sax Solo: Excellent! WAY TO GO!!!
  • Mark Bennett Clarinet Solo: Excellent! WAY TO GO!!!
  • Our Jazz Combo and Messiah Martinez (Clarinet Solo) both performed for “Comments Only” did a fantastic job through their musical efforts!

All County Band & Color Guard Wrap Up! 

Congratulations to Riley Ford, Ashley Murphy, and Isaac Lewis on an incredible All County Band experience this weekend! Riley performed with the 9/10 Concert Band and both Ashley and Isaac performed with the 11/12 Symphonic Band! Super proud of their efforts and the total experience that was had! Way to represent APK!

Congratulations to both our JV and Varsity Winterguard teams on fantastic showings for their Premier shows last weekend and this weekend! Can’t wait to see where the season takes you all! Gonna be incredible! #iegyb
