Week 1 = Great Success!
Been a tremendous week bringing the Fall 2026 BDMB to life! Super excited for an incredible year ahead! Leadership, Percussion, and Color Guard jumped in on Monday and began laying the groundwork for a fantastic BDMB experience. Our rookies came in ready to go on Thursday and learned a great deal towards their start at being a Blue Darter! And on Friday, we welcomed home the Fall 2026 BDMB! It was a wonderful display of family and fun as we came together to kick off a season of DANCING!
Week 2 will be a great opportunity to dig in and begin learning our Pre-Game and Halftime shows for the coming season. And, join us on Friday at 6:30 PM for our Fall 2026 BDMB Premier Show! It is going to be EXCITING! Let’s Go Big Blue!

Great Week For The Blue Darter Band!
We have had an amazing week as we kick off the Spring Semester! Starting with our MLK Parade on Monday, our annual Wind Symphony Sectional Night, having the opportunity to showcase our London trip at the City of Apopka Council Meeting, bring out the Basketball Pep Band for both a girls and boys game, hold two fantastic rehearsals with both our Symphonic Band and Wind Symphony and see six of our members perform in Honor Bands this week! It has been INCREDIBLE! Check out the pics and be sure to check out the London Recap Video!
Orange Blossom Jazz Festival Planning Time!
Tuesday evening we kick off our first planning session for the 2026 Orange Blossom Jazz Festival! We are looking forward to an incredible event on April 10 & 11, 2026 that will feature fifty performance ensembles this year! We are excited to showcase some incredible talent this year and provide incredible performance opportunities for many young jazzers! Our initial planning session will be on Tuesday at 7 PM! Our needs include overall event management and administrative duties, concessions and merchandise, sponsorships, social media, hospitality and more! Come and join us to help create a sensational event for all to enjoy!
