FFCC Show Wrap Up….

Wow. Just wow. So proud of our performers, volunteers, parents, alumni, boosters, etc., etc., etc. for the incredible things that took place on Saturday. We had over FIFTY, yes, FIFTY Winterguard units converge on Apopka High and perform in our FFCC Regional event. There were over 100 people that gave of their time and talents to ensure the success of the event! There were many complimentary remarks on the day from the patrons and we could not be more proud of the effort of our “TEAM AHS” that came together to make this event a reality!

Congratulations to both our JV and Varsity Winterguards on a FANTASTIC PERFORMANCE! We are continually amazed at your dedication to the artistry of performance!

To the many folks who came in to make this a reality, on behalf of Mrs. Fields, myself, and the entire Blue Darter Band & Guard, we say a huge THANK YOU for all that you did and the sacrifice you made. The day was a success because of you! IEGYB!

MPA Notes

  • Jazz & Percussion members should wear Black Concert Uniform for our events on Friday. Please be dressed and ready to go at 9:30 AM.
  • We will load the truck at 9:30 AM.
  • S&E Solo and small ensemble participants, please use the following guidelines to help prepare for a great performance experience:
    • Dress for success. Ensure you are well groomed and presentable. You do not have to wear your concert uniform, however, it would be appropriate if you do not have other dress attire.
    • When you enter the performance room, greet the adjudicator (if they are still writing a sheet from the previous person, WAIT until you are recognized) and ask him/her if you can play a few notes to hear the room. It is customary to take a tuning note from your accompanist if you have one.
    • Thank your accompanist. If your event utilizes an accompanist, it is always good form to publicly thank them at the conclusion of your performance.
    • Ratings can take up to an hour after your performance to be posted. Please exercise patience as there will be over 1500 performances on site this weekend. Look for Mr. L if you have waited longer than an hour.
