Great Week For The Blue Darter Band!
We have had an amazing week as we kick off the Spring Semester! Starting with our MLK Parade on Monday, our annual Wind Symphony Sectional Night, having the opportunity to showcase our London trip at the City of Apopka Council Meeting, bring out the Basketball Pep Band for both a girls and boys game, hold two fantastic rehearsals with both our Symphonic Band and Wind Symphony and see six of our members perform in Honor Bands this week! Orange Blossom Jazz Festival Planning Time!
Tuesday evening we kick off our first planning session for the 2026 Orange Blossom Jazz Festival! We are looking forward to an incredible event on April 10 & 11, 2026 that will feature fifty performance ensembles this year! We are excited to showcase some incredible talent this year and provide incredible performance opportunities for many young jazzers! Our initial planning session will be on Tuesday at 7 PM! Our needs include overall event management and administrative duties, concessions and merchandise, sponsorships, social media, hospitality and more! Come and join us to help create a sensational event for all to enjoy!

The Blue Darter Band has fronted a great deal of the funds necessary to start the year and now that we have our payment system up and running we need to recuperate the funding needed to continue our operations as a band family.
